My name is George Simmons and I am currently the sole teacher for Moon Moth School of Music. I have been playing and studying music for twenty years. Over the past four years I have truly found a passion for teaching. The first instrument I learned was ukulele. Even though I picked up the ukulele at nine years old, I have been a lover of music since birth. Growing up in a musical family allowed me to see the benefits of this wonderfully creative outlet. It's this healthy form of expression that I aspire to share with any person wanting to become a student of music. My twenty years of experience has taken me from the lesson room to the recording booth and even the stage! I value all facets of music from reading to technique, music history with reference to pop culture, and even how to properly maintain your instrument. Regardless of your level of expertise, I am confident that I can guide any student to go from being an instrument player to becoming a well-rounded musician.
